Service Centre | M.S.G.Campano

The reference image for the design of this service center in Monte San Giovanni Campano in the province of Frosinone is a symbolic one of a small urban organism, which now and then corresponds to the blueprints and the skyline of the climb back to the historic center. The design aims at an overall arrangement of the entire slope facing south, which requires an environmental restoration able to refurbish the town’s overall image and its original character. Limestone and basalt here and there constitute a series of scenarios of collective life: streets, squares, clearings, staircases that are the true, essential nature of this place. The Service Center project boasts an organic design that is markedly philosophical, the image and materials of the redevelopment project of part of the historic center for the purpose of forming a true integrated urban system fit to enhance and enrich the character of the landscape. The building incorporates in its interior an existing system of arches, fragment of a construction wall, within a full-height space, creating a luminous element that contains the lift system for access to the galleries.
