Green hotel  Galzignano, Italy

La volumetria del nuovo Green Hotel sostituisce ed amplia il vecchio albergo immerso nel parco.  L’edificio è costituito da due blocchi principali collocati al di sopra di un elemento “basamento” trasparente, volume flessibile e permeabile che consente l’accesso alle camere sovrastanti, la cui leggerezza dialoga contrapponendosi formalmente alla volumetria al di sopra. Un elemento a nastro bianco disegna i fronti, connotando gli ambiti funzionali dell’interno: le suite normali e le suite imperiali collocate all’ultimo livello. Altre suite imperiali sono distribuite nei due elementi di testata con affacci privilegiati sul parco. Le camere sono caratterizzate da un rapporto continuo con l’esterno, garantito da logge (schermate da persiane scorrevoli in legno) e patii (per le suite imperiali).

Tutti gli interventi previsti dal progetto sono finalizzati al rispetto, e dove necessario, al miglioramento degli aspetti paesaggistici dell’area; alcuni di questi si pongono l’obiettivo di mitigare l’impatto negativo di alcuni manufatti di servizio o impiantistici esistenti o di nuova costruzione.

The volume of the new Green Hotel replaces and expands the old hotel in the park.  The building consists of two main blocks placed above a transparent “basement” element, flexible and permeable volume that allows access to the rooms above, whose lightness dialogues formally opposing the volume above. A white ribbon element draws the fronts, connoting the functional areas of the interior: the normal suites and the imperial suites located on the last level. Other imperial suites are distributed in the two headboard elements with privileged views of the park. The rooms are characterized by a continuous relationship with the outside, guaranteed by loggias (screened by sliding wooden shutters) and patios (for imperial suites).

All the interventions foreseen by the project are aimed at respecting, and where necessary, improving the landscape aspects of the area; some of these have the objective of mitigating the negative impact of some existing or newly built service or plant buildings.
